This is normal! Canon software is designed to detect original Canon ink. Simply hold down the "Stop/Resume" button (triangle inside a circle) for 5-10 seconds. This bypasses the warning and allows you to print.

Step 1 (Critical): You MUST re-attach the orange plastic clip to the bottom of the cartridge before filling. This seals the sponge and prevents ink from leaking out the bottom.
Step 2: Remove the colored top plug, inject ink until the sponge is saturated, and wait 5 minutes for it to absorb before removing the clip and installing.

Canon printers use a large black (PGBK) for text and a small black (BK) for photos. Edible printing uses both. You must have both installed for the printer to work, even if you are only printing color images.

Never. Canon uses a thermal process (heat), while Epson uses Piezo (vibration). The chemical formulas are opposites. Using Epson ink in a Canon printer will ruin the printhead immediately.
