Before I review this product I want to review the management team! I 'm so sorry but I don/t know his name but if you ever need help and advice this is the place to shop for you baking needs. I Just love them so much and I didn't know who to tell this to. Believe me , he knew my need and helped me and the printer arrived very quickly. I can't praise him enough! Thank you for helping this grandma with the kindest heart. Now the printer. What a great printer. I do picture cookies and the quality is so clear. I would recommend this food printer to anyone who needs a new one. I have baked over 50,000 Picture cookies and I know this is my best printer. You will be please with the printer and the staff! This product performance is exceptional on quality images. However, the wireless connection has not been successful for cellphone, laptop, or desktop. I am unsure of how to enable this connection, the only way to print at this point is via direct connect.

The printer was easy to set up but the printer would not recognize the frosting sheets that came with the bundle because they were too thick. It did work fine when I used a thinner paper. So I think I paid for edible paper that was not compatible with the printer so much for the bundle?? Oh the edible ink was fine.

A: Yes this printer has a removable printhead. It is considered an older model but we find that the older models last longer than the newer ones. The printer is modified by us for edible printing.

A: This printer does not have a built-in scanner, but it can be connected to a scanner. There are also scanner apps for every smart phone which can be used as well.

Q: What is the self-cleaning ink cartridge? Can I purchase a refillable AND self cleaning? Can you please explain better the differences and what comes with the printer by default? Also - do these ink cartridges dry out fast? Is there a suggested monthly print required to avoid the print head drying out? A: Yes it does. It's best printer overall on market. You don't need to cut sheets, printer will print on standard sizes also. Actually several types of icing sheets are included with it ..

Q: On the wide format Canon printer CW8, there is no screen, I've only used the ones with screens, was wondering how you navigate this one. Is there a video or something that gives info on how to use it before I buy it?

A: CW8 is controlled via driver installed on computer or print app if printing from phone.
After sending image to print you click on print settings and driver will open up with many printing options such is size , speed , print quality, color corrections , image enhancement , etc..
Driver give you much more control over print than LCD screen ... no one make copies anymore, it's outdated using scanner

A: CW8 is only printer that can handle every sheet size available on market. We consider it top edible printer in industry , high speed, exceptional quality print.
Yes , you can use any smartphone or tablet to print from it.
OL is layout and editing software built for printing on pre cut icing sheets for cupcakes and cookies... it's not necessary for printer to operate, printer driver and software is included with ..it's upgrade option only if you print on pre cut frosting sheets.

Q: I'm looking for a printer that can be used wireless! I currently have a Pixma MG5520 that I can connect to my phone using some apps and I want to be able to do the same with the new one that I'm looking to purchase I do want it to be wide format though. If this printer does not do what I'm looking for do you guys have other options for me? I don't have a computer so I need to operate this printer by only using my phone like a do with my current one

A: Please note that this printer is also wireless . Having scanner included with machine is convenient but not necessary . Only customers with storefront would benefit having scanner to print instant quick copy for other cake decorators . Otherwise printing from software is absolutely recommended for better printer utilization .

Q: What kind of warranty are on these printers? How long has this printer been available? how easy is it to get ink and how long does the ink last? I do not see any reviews on this printer hard to tell if it is good or not

A: Our printers come with six month warranty. We have been selling the CW8 for about a year now, and is our best quality printer available for purchase. It uses the 250/251 ink cartridge sets. It is hard to determine how long ink can last because each print is unique, and uses different array of colors. The more vivid and colorful the image, the more ink it will use, but they are large cartridges and hold plenty of ink to satisfy and not disappoint. Simply go to our edible cartridges tab on our website and select the Canon ink cartridges. The 250XL/251XL cartridge set can be purchased for 59.99. It is certainly our best printer and the 349.99 price reflects that.

*One thing to note is that this is a Wide Format printer, meaning it can fit larger icing sheets for larger prints.
