How to remove Canon printhead

Follow the steps below to remove your Canon printhead for any Canon model with a removable printhead.

Step 1) Remove all edible ink cartridges

Step 2) Identify the gray or black handle (Figure A) and move it up until it locks into a up-right position (Figure B). NOTE: not all Canon printers will have this handle

Step 3) Reach inside and grab the middle part of the printhead and gently pull as shown in Figure C.

Figure C:

You may now clean the bottom of printhead with distilled water or cleaning solution. WARNING: Using tap or bottled water may damage the printhead permanently.
